ASP Gateway
Who We Are

Built by Operators.
Driven by Purpose.

Adventure Sports Parks was born from ROYAL — a nonprofit that proved action sports and mentorship could transform lives. That proof of concept became a blueprint. Now the team that built it is scaling it into the world’s first purpose-built adventure resort platform.

Our Mission

Where Creativity, Connection
& Challenge Thrive

Adventure Sports Parks creates vibrant, immersive adventure destinations that don’t exist anywhere else. We design, build, and operate facilities that combine professional-grade action sports, hospitality-grade service, and cultural programming under one roof — engineered to anchor resort properties and generate year-round demand.

Picture the day: a family surfs their first wave in the morning, a teenager lands a trick with a pro coach by lunch, and the whole crew celebrates over craft cocktails and gourmet dining at sunset. Every park is purpose-built to anchor a destination, extend guest stays, and create year-round demand.

Origin Story

From the Track to the Park

Adventure Sports Parks didn't start in a boardroom. It started on a motocross track, in a skate park, on the side of a mountain — anywhere young people were pushing their limits and finding themselves.

ROYAL, our founding nonprofit, proves something powerful: that adventure sports aren't just entertainment — they're vehicles for personal transformation. Hundreds of thousands of lives were changed through programs that combined professional coaching with intentional mentorship.

ASP was born from the realization that this model could scale — that a purpose-built adventure facility could anchor a resort, transform a community's economy, and continue the mission of changing lives through purpose-driven experiences.

2005

ROYAL Founded

Brandon Heidemann launches ROYAL nonprofit, combining action sports with youth mentorship. The program goes on to reach hundreds of thousands of lives.

2009

Sage Outdoor Adventures

Brandon helps launch Sage Outdoor Adventures, growing it into one of the most recognized outdoor adventure companies in the U.S. — proving consumer appetite for premium adventure experiences.

2021

The founding team identifies the gap between what resort guests want and what properties actually offer — and starts designing the model to close it.

2023

Strategic Team Assembled

2024

First Partnership Pursuit

ASP begins active development conversations with resort and entertainment properties. Business plan validated by independent planning and engineering consultants.

2025

Phase 1 Commissioned

ASP’s first Phase 1 feasibility study commissioned — moving the model from concept into validated reality. The team that built ROYAL and Sage scales the playbook into the world’s first purpose-built adventure resort platform.

Core Values

What Drives Us

These aren't words on a wall. They're how we hire, how we build, and how we show up every day. Born from ROYAL's proven model of mentorship and adventure — refined for a stage that matches the ambition.

Be True

Authenticity is our essence. Whether in elite athlete training or creating "first-ever" moments for kids and families, we remain true to ourselves. Our commitment to real experiences mirrors who we are on the inside.

Embrace Respect

Respect is fundamental in how we engage and collaborate. It guides our interactions, our decisions, and the way we honor each individual's unique contributions and perspectives.

Demonstrate Grit

Grit is our unyielding determination to do amazing things — and the vulnerability to push through our toughest challenges. We foster resilience and empower individuals of all ages to push their boundaries and discover their strengths.

Be Extraordinary

Bring your best every day. From the sights and sounds to the quality of every experience, the food, the coaching — we are dedicated to creating moments that inspire lifelong memories.

Fast to Celebrate

Accomplishments are magnified when shared. The joy of celebrating success stories, experiences, and even a simple meal together creates a ripple of positivity that inspires and motivates everyone around us.

Exceptional Food & Beverage

Dining isn't an afterthought — it's how we celebrate. From food trucks to rooftop lounges, every ASP park treats food and drink as a core pillar of the experience.

Spaces & Amenities

Facilities designed to match the caliber of the experiences inside them — from the lobby to the rooftop, every space is intentional.

Engagement & Community

Leagues, events, mentorship programs, and cultural programming that drive membership, retention, and year-round engagement.

Industry Leadership

The team, partnerships, and track record that no competitor in this space can match.

Design Philosophy

Every ASP experience meets two standards simultaneously: it must satisfy a professional athlete's expectations for quality and challenge, and it must welcome a first-timer with zero experience.

Risk Mitigation

Addressing Key Concerns

Capital Investment & ROI

Major capital commitment requires confidence in scope, sequencing, and execution.

Custom Rollout Strategy

Phase 1 feasibility studies determine the right approach for your property. If the data supports building the full vision at once, we recommend that. If a sequenced rollout fits your market or capital position better, we structure accordingly — the strategy is built around your situation, not a template.

Operational Complexity

Action sports and digital gaming demand specialized staff and equipment.

ASP Manages All Operations

ASP delivers the full operating model — concept, design, construction, staffing, training, and day-to-day operations. You bring the property and financing framework. We bring everything that makes it work.

Market Education

Some existing guests may need introduction to action sports and eGaming.

Familiar + Aspirational Mix

Blend of familiar (arcades, restaurants, mini golf) with aspirational (surf parks, skydiving) ensures broad appeal from day one.

Seasonality & Weather

Outdoor elements face climate-driven fluctuations in variable-weather markets.

85% Indoor Facility Mix

Core facility is overwhelmingly indoor — 360 days/year. Winter maintains est. 70% avg attendance; summer peaks est. 130%.

For Tribal & Sovereign Partners

Economic Sovereignty & Generational Wealth

ASP destinations aren’t another line item — they’re a structural shift. Purpose-built to diversify revenue, strengthen communities, and create wealth that compounds across generations.

💰

Revenue Diversification Beyond Gaming

Position your nation as a leader in next-generation entertainment — not another casino expansion. ASP creates a year-round amenity engine that drives hotel bookings, extends guest stays, and captures demographics that traditional resort offerings miss entirely.

🏛

Sovereign Structural Advantages

Tribal sovereignty unlocks a financial architecture no commercial developer can replicate. Sovereign taxing authority on park revenue, 100% retention of cross-property casino uplift, and priority capital recovery structures — all within a framework that keeps wealth circulating inside the nation.

🌐

National Leadership Positioning

Be the first sovereign nation to anchor a destination-grade adventure entertainment facility. ASP partners don’t follow trends — they set them, establishing a blueprint that other nations will look to for decades.

Community Health & Youth Impact

Every ASP facility is designed around a singular belief: adventure changes lives. Not just as entertainment, but as a vehicle for mentorship, confidence, and community wellness.

🧑‍🎓

Youth Mentorship Pipelines

Structured coaching and mentorship programs connect young community members with professional athletes, coaches, and industry leaders — building real pathways to careers in sports, hospitality, entertainment, and beyond.

📈

Proven Social Outcomes

This isn’t theoretical. ROYAL’s mentorship model — the foundation ASP is built on — has demonstrated that 81% of participants report improved self-esteem, along with measurable gains in leadership skills, resilience, and community engagement.

🌱

Generational — Not Extractive

ASP partnerships are built for legacy, not exit. Revenue stays in the community. Jobs go to community members. Programming is designed to last beyond any single contract cycle — creating continuity that compounds over generations.

❤️

Holistic Wellness Alignment

Physical activity, outdoor challenge, social connection, and creative expression — ASP programming is aligned with holistic health frameworks that many tribal communities already prioritize, reinforcing cultural values through action.

Cultural Alignment & Stewardship

We don’t overlay a template — we co-create with each partner nation. Every ASP facility reflects the community it serves, with formal structures ensuring cultural integrity from day one.

🎨

Cultural Representation

Native language integration, culturally meaningful symbolism, and community values woven directly into park branding, wayfinding, and storytelling. Your identity isn’t an add-on — it’s the foundation.

🤝

Cultural Safeguards

Built into the operating agreement from the start: a mandated Cultural Liaison role ensures every programming decision, design choice, and guest experience is vetted and guided by tribal leadership and cultural authorities.

🌍

Regenerative Development

ASP facilities are framed as investments in place — not extraction from it. Designed with environmental stewardship, community benefit, and cultural preservation at the core, delivering returns that enrich rather than deplete.

Investment Thesis

Why This. Why Now.

Category-Creating Destination

There is no comparable facility combining professional-grade adventure experiences with resort-grade hospitality. First-mover advantage is substantial and defensible.

Proven Consumer Demand

The $1.2T U.S. outdoor recreation economy and surging global demand for experiential entertainment provide massive tailwinds. Multi-generational experiences are the fastest-growing segment in hospitality.

Occupancy Multiplier

Adjacent resort properties see 25-40% occupancy lifts when family entertainment is added. ASP doesn't just generate its own revenue — it lifts the entire property ecosystem.

Custom-Scoped Architecture

Every project is scoped to the property and partner. Whether the right play is a full-scale launch or sequenced expansion, the architecture supports both — with no rebuilding required.

Operator-Led Execution

Unlike consultant-driven projects, ASP's team operates the facility. Our success is tied directly to yours — aligned incentives from day one.
